A dream vacation

I'm pretty excited for the coming of my sister here in the United States. Her fiance is now in the Philippines to pick her up after months of being apart. They are getting married once they are both back in the country. In few months time, they will have the wedding and I am really looking forward to it. Also, it would mean I will get to see North Carolina once again. The first time was a great experience, although, it was only for a few days. I am hoping to go back there for a summer vacation perhaps next year. I'm glad that someday, I have another new destination added to my list of places to see and explore. North Carolina is definitely a home away from home if you want an escape from a boring routine and a busy city life. So, if you are planning on your next vacation, it's the place to be!

Today, as I was looking online for a perfect place to stay for when I attend my sister's wedding, I read about Outer Banks vacation rentals on Carolina Designs. This place sounds amazing as I really wanted to see that part of the state. It's been a while since the last time I and my family had a vacation because of a busy schedule and due to financial constraints. When I looked at the website, I found the pictures below of a rental home that looks really welcoming. It has a pool, entertainment room and great bedrooms. What really caught my eyes is the scenic view of the beach nearby through the kitchen windows. It virtually has everything you need while on vacation while at the same time feeling at home. If you fancy about going to the beach, it's literally as short walk away.How lovely is that! Oh well, I can only dream for now and wish I can visit and stay in this place someday.

Helping in my own little way

Our business is doing fine as far as I'm concerned. I don't help a lot with the grunt work because it's hubby's job, but I do wish I could if only I were stronger and has no little one to look after. For now, all I can do is work on my studies and be a good wife and parent and someday get a job to help out with the expenses in the family. At our business site though, I do help out the light work like watering the plants and watching the office and attending to the customers. I make change and answer phone calls. Although, I wish we could get a receipt printer. That would help a great deal for especially when some people ask for a receipt when they come. I might have to look up online for that so I can surprise hubby with it. 

Beauty and brain

Gosh, it's been almost 8 months since I started school and now this year is almost coming to an end. I'm going to say once again that time flies. Also, I am getting older and wiser. The older part is not that really great, but the wiser one is absolutely amazing. Hey, who doesn't want to be one? I would definitely choose to be smart over beauty. Although, being pretty has its own benefits as well. But again, knowledge is power. Oh well, beauty vs. brain. Who's going to win? That's for me to know and you to find out! As for my personal opinion, I would definitely want to have the brain and perhaps a little beauty on the side. LOL!

Cheap life insurance: Is there such?

When I first came in the country, my husband made sure I was going to be covered by his health insurance. I never had one before and I had no idea how important it is when you get sick. The hospital bill can get tremendous that you might have to pay for it for the rest of your life if things go really bad. I was glad I got covered just before we got pregnant. Later on, when we became parents, we thought of getting life insurance for the family. But these days, everything is really expensive. We can't afford even just for one of us because of the economic situation and for other reasons. We just can't have one and it's disappointing.

I wish we really could get at least for my husband or for me in preparation of what's yet to come for our child's future. You never know what our future holds. I can't imagine leaving this world a family without something to sustain life if anything goes unplanned. For now, I can only pray and perhaps look for cheap life insurance quotes online so we could really get one that we could afford. I know there are a ton of websites and insurance companies out there that are efficient and worth a try. Bored

I've been getting bored this summer because I have no friends to go out with. I don't know why, but I am not the type of person who likes to drive around just for the fun of it all by myself even with my little one. I should go out and go to places and enjoy the weather. I am not a fan of soaking up the sun either. I wish I have relatives here to so I can simply go and see them whenever I am in need of company. I miss the times when I didn't have the convenience to go to places and yet there will always be someone to look forward to seeing and enjoy the times just talking. Oh well, this is home away from home. I will eventually get over this feeling. I hope.

It's all about the location!

When I was cleaning out the garage to find some parts of our bed that wasn't installed when we moved here years ago, I found the old binoculars in one of the boxes we stored in there. Too bad the thing is actually broken. My son tried to play with it and it's just not safe and it's too heavy for him anyway so I decided to put it away. I remember my friend has a couple of them at their place because they live in a scenic apartment where you can see the NY skyline which is pretty if you love a city view. It's a million dollar view, I have to say. It's definitely not something you'll see everyday if you don't live there. They must get tired of it though since they have been there for years. Well, you gotta love the view and a place which would be all about the location. Location, location, location!

Are you one of them?

You know, I can't understand electronics. Once you get the latest and greatest, in a few months time something even better comes out and your latest and greatest becomes outdated. It's a sad reality. But, it's an acceptable change as it means people are getting smarter and smarter each day. A new thing comes along and replaces what was fairly new. If you love gadgets and the best electronics out there, whenever something "in" enters the market, you will have to dish out the dough you think you didn't have. Oh, well. I am one of those people that's why right now, I can't even decide whether or not to upgrade my cell phone as I am afraid something even better will come out soon and makes my 5-year-old one a thing in the past. LOL! I can't even believe I've had it that long!

Important development

I never thought how easy it would be to potty train. It's just about time for my little guy to get into it and boy am I glad I finally got serious on training him now that he is ready. I guess it's about timing and readiness after all. I was hoping to get him started when he was fairly small, but that was a scary experience for him instead. So, I decided to wait besides being really discouraged about the whole thing. It was a traumatic and desperate attempt. Kids are different from each other in terms of development, so it's not a good idea to compare. Well, I can pat myself at the back now and as well as rewarding my son with the improvement he is now having. I am very content with the result of both of our hard work. He's been a good boy all in all. 

Weight, weight, weight!

I gained weight since after having a baby. I used to weigh between 98-99 lbs. Now, I am more or less a hundred. LOL! I know it's not very significant but nothing has changed. I can tell from my clothing size. I still wear my 5 year old favorite pair of jeans. I feel lucky enough to have gotten very little weight gain. In fact, close to none. I just hope it stays like this forever. It sure is easy to get big but too hard to lose the extra baggage. It can be confusing to decide on diet programs when you're in a weight loss predicament. It would be easier to have a weight loss drink than doing all the other thorough exercise stuff, but then again, do what is best. I better maintain a healthy diet. That sounds inspiring enough to me.

Eat and weigh big

The other day, I was so surprised with how much weight I gained. I don't do it regularly as I don't really have a weight problem. I get curious sometimes and only when I see the weighing scale that I remember to give it a check especially when I had eaten a lot in a day. I was shocked to see 3-4 lbs. added on my original weight. I just laughed at myself for it. I could not believe it. I think I better go ahead and read about apidexin reviews for this and do something about my weight if I don't want to get huge later on. I do need some exercise though. 

Bored

I really should have done my tasks online yesterday as I have errands to do today. Nothing gets me motivated to get out of the house unless it's time to go to school. This warm weather has to be taken advantaged of, but I am just simply taking it easily by staying at home all day most of the time. Oh well, I will try my best to become an outdoor person. I used to, really. When I was younger, I loved being with my friends. I guess I really should make friends and go out from time to time to enjoy life. Or better yet, I have to look for a mom like me who wants to have a play date for the kids. That's an idea!

Progress

I'm so relieved that my sister was able to do all the tasks to prepare for her medical and interview for the visa. I just hope everything goes well on the day of the medical exam day. This is kind of sooner than anticipated schedule and I am confident she will be fine. After this procedure, the next step should be a more exciting experience for all of us. She will soon travel to the US and it's going to be a really big change for her. I will be here to make her feel at home. That's what sisters are for!

Eat and weight

A couple of days ago, I really surprised myself for having to eat more than I usually can. I guess after the barbecue we had on the 3rd of July, my stomach stretched out and accommodated a bigger amount of food. I amazed myself of my appetite. I enjoyed the the food we had though and would love to do it again. I made salads to go with the grilled kelbasa, steak and hotdogs by our friend. Anyway, I have to watch my diet before that certain age comes where it would be difficult to get rid of the unwanted baggage. I sure can't see myself wanting to get a surgery in the future. Well, if Lipofuze works just as well, then I will not have to worry. LOL
